This is New Zealand’s hottest and fastest growing wine producing region with award-winning wineries and cafes. There are more than 30 vineyards offering superb wines, enjoyable wine tasting and some with excellent cafes. Pegasus Bay winery was voted by Cuisine Magazine the best winery restaurant in NZ in 2005 and again in 2008.

Christchurch City attractions
You do not have to stay in the city to enjoy Christchurch. Claremont is on the doorstep of “the Garden City”. Christchurch’s fascinating museum, beautiful botanical gardens, amazing arts centre, informative Antarctic centre, shops, cafes, restaurants and other great attractions are all within an hour’s easy commute. We also offer a special 2+2 Town & Country package for those wishing to spend more time in Christchurch and who would also like to stay at our Chic Chester Street central City townhouse.

Whale watching
Kaikoura is famous for its year around whale watching and also offers swimming with the dolphins or an Albatross encounter. These are all within 90 minutes drive to the North. A great days excursion is to drive the Alpine Pacific Triangle - one of the worlds great scenic drives go whale watching and return via the inland route. Alternatively take a private Charter flight direct from our private airstrip at Claremont.
