Claremont Country Estate Offers A Choice Of Dining Experience

Our tariff includes a full lodge breakfast each day. Guests may dine in-house or there is a wide choice of local evening dining experiences that should suit most tastes and preferences.

Breakfast
This is included in your tariff.

Our satisfying Claremont breakfasts served in our sun-filled conservatory breakfast room include, freshly squeezed fruit juice, a freshly made fruit salad or a selection of fresh fruit, homemade fruit compote, yogurt, a choice of cereals, free range eggs cooked to your liking, fresh breads, delicious croissants, butter and a selection of home made conserves and marmalade from the fruits of our own orchards, various teas, coffee and fresh milk.

Luncheon
Since we are close to renowned Waipara wineries offering excellent lunches we do not provide luncheon at Claremont but, by prior arrangement, we are pleased to prepare a picnic for those who would like to explore our Estate and Nature Reserve. The picnic options cost from $15.00pp to $30.00pp according to selection. We are also able to assist by making you a reservation at Pegasus Bay (thrice voted by Cuisine Magazine as best winery restaurant in NZ) or at any of the other local cafes, restaurants or vineyards.

Evening Dining Experiences

In-house dining
By prior arrangement, our Chef prepares a Claremont table d’hote 3-course dinner from the freshest local ingredients accompanied by two glasses per person of our red or white house wine. This dining experience preceded by hosted pre-dinner drinks and canapés. Guest dietary needs or preferences are catered for in our menu selection provided we are notified in advance. To avoid disappointment it is strongly recommended that you pre-book dinner for your night of arrival!

Claremont Wine Selection
Fine wines from the local Waipara wine growing region are selected each season as our “house wine”. Two complimentary glasses of house wine per person are served to enhance your dining experience.

Local a la carte dining (all within 10-15 minutes drive).
Guests also have the option to dine a la carte at the following local restaurants, cafes or pubs and we are pleased to make dinner reservations on your behalf.
