Estate Offers A Choice Of Dining Experience
Our tariff includes breakfast each day. Guests have a wide
choice of evening dining experiences that should suit most
tastes and preferences.
Breakfast
This is included in your tariff.
For those staying in the Claremont luxury suite, Garden
Annex, Lily Suite and Fountain suite a full breakfast is
served in the conservatory dining room. For those staying
in the Owners Retreat Villa or The Claremont Family Cottage
all breakfast provisions are provided in your accommodation.
Our satisfying Claremont breakfasts include, fruit juice,
a selection of fresh fruit, a choice of cereals, eggs cooked
to your liking fresh breads, delicious croissants, butter
and a selection of home made conserves and marmalade from
the fruits of our own orchards, various teas, coffee and
fresh milk. By prior arrangement you
may breakfast at the Lodge if you prefer, if you are staying
in our Cottage or Villa.
Luncheon
Since we are close to renowned Waipara wineries offering
excellent lunches we do not provide luncheon at Claremont
but, by prior arrangement, we are pleased to prepare a
picnic for those who would like to explore
our Estate and Nature Reserve. The picnic options cost from
$15.00pp to $30.00pp according to selection. We are also
able to assist by making you a reservation at Pegasus Bay
(twice voted by Cuisine Magazine as best winery restaurant
in NZ) or at any of the other local cafes, restaurants or
vineyards.
Evening Dining Experiences
Select from a choice of interesting evening dining options
to suit your tastes. These include our Fork and Cork Platter,
a Claremont barbeque at the lodge, your villa or the family
cottage, our Claremont 3-course table d’hote dinner
(served at the nearby award winning Nor’wester restaurant)
and there is a selection of other nearby establishments
including a popular Thai restaurant.
Claremont Fork and Cork menu
with wine at $45.00pp
By prior arrangement, we offer a light evening meal consisting
of an attractive and tasty local, seasonal fare. This comprises
a gourmet cold meat platter that includes, aged Danish salami,
Chorizo, Pastrami, Hot beef, Hot pork and Ham, embellished
with local olives, pickles and salad.
All meals are served with yummy Amberley baked Rachel Scott
Ciabatta bread. To follow, we offer a cheese board with
a selection of delicious NZ cheeses and crackers and dried
fruits. Included for two people is a bottle of red or white
Waipara wine from our house wine selection.
Claremont Wine Selection
We also stock a selection of fine Waipara wines including
superb local Sauvignon Blanc’s, Chardonnays, Rieslings
and Pinot Noirs. Should you prefer to select your choice
of wine from our wine list and substitute this for the house
wine provided with your meal, we will deduct $25 from the
cost of your preferred wine!
Claremont Barbeque option
with wine at $45.00pp
As an alternative to the Fork and Cork menu, for those who
enjoy barbeques, on a fine summers evening. By arrangement,
this option is available at the lodge and also at the Owners
Retreat Villa or at our Claremont Family Cottage.
We provide you with a gas barbeque and a barbeque food
package. You barbeque and enjoy your meal as and when you
want it. Our barbeque packs consist of either two x 200g
local NZ beef steaks + four tasty North Canterbury farmed
venison sausages or gourmet, locally made, pork sausages
or two local juicy loin lamb chops + four tasty North Canterbury
farmed venison sausages or gourmet, locally made, pork sausages.
Your barbeque is accompanied by a potato salad, a seasonal
fresh garden salad (delete with dressing and your meal is
served with) and delicious Rachel Scott Ciabatta bread.
Included for two people is a bottle of red or white wine
from our house wine selection - all from local Waipara vineyards.
We also stock a selection of fine Waipara wines including
superb local Pinot Noirs to accompany your meal. Should
you prefer to select your choice of wine from our wine list
and substitute this for our house wine then we will deduct

Claremont Table D’hote
three course menu at $85.00pp.
For those guests who are looking for a complete dining experience
we offer a 3-course Claremont table d’hote dinner
at the multiple award-winning Nor’wester restaurant
located nearby in Amberley. There is a choice of three starters,
three mains and three desserts. This is accompanied by two
complimentary glasses of Waipara house wine per person.

Chef's in-house fine dining
(POA)
In-house fine dining is available by prior arrangement for
groups of four or more people and menus can be tailored
according to your preference. An excellent local chef will
prepare and serve you a three course dinner in the Claremont
dining room or in your Villa or Cottage. Pre-booking essential,
sample menus and price on application.
A la carte dining
All guests have the option to dine a la carte at the following
local restaurants, cafes or pubs (all within 10-15 minutes
drive).
• Nor’wester Restaurant Amberley. Open 7 days
except Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
• Karma Cafe, (Thai) Amberley. Open 6 Days except
Mondays, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
• Brew Moon Restaurant, Amberley. Open 7 days except
Christmas Day.
• Railway Tavern pub Amberley. Open 7 days except
Christmas Day.
• Leithfield Pub. Open 7 days except Christmas Day.
Note some NZ restaurants have a 15% surcharge on Public
Holidays.
