Having travelled extensively both in New Zealand and overseas, we understand the expectations and wishes of guests who enjoy the finer things in life. We are well versed in international standards for luxury accommodation. This is reflected in the superb experience awaiting guests at Claremont Country Estate's luxury accommodation lodge in Canterbury New Zealand.

Richard has lived in Kenya, Portugal, Spain and Britain and attended Cirencester Agricultural College. He was formerly founder and Managing Director of a successful UK based engineering company and sailed to NZ from Europe in his own sailing yacht back in 1991.

Richard is a lifelong sailor, a scuba diver, a lover of classic cars and a flying enthusiast. His father was employed by the NZ shipping line making 13 round trip voyages from 1928 to 1935 between the UK and New Zealand. He has two sons, one of whom lives in Auckland, the other in Europe.

Rosie has previously lived in both Wellington and Kaiparora in the North Island. She was born and brought up in East Africa. She has also lived in Britain, France and Australia She is an animal lover, nature lover and has wide ranging interests and great culinary skills. Rosie also enjoys walking, sailing and flying. She has five grown up children, from a previous marriage, two of whom were born in New Zealand.
