Booking conditions, general information and policies

• Check-in time. From 3.00pm to 6.00pm. Should you require early or late check-in arrangements we request notification in advance.

• Check-out time. By 11.00am unless other arrangements are made.

• Minimum stay. There is no minimum stay for the Lodge Suites except at peak season between 15th December and 15th January when a 2 night minimum stay applies. The Villa, Garden Annex and Family cottage are subject to a two night minimum stay during all seasons.

• Maximum Occupancy.The Fountain Suite accommodates 2 adults. The Lily Suite accommodates 2 adults. The Claremont Luxury Suite accommodates 2 adults. The Garden Annex accommodates up to 4-adults. The Owner's Retreat accommodates up to 4 adults. The Family Cottage accommodates 2 adults and up to 3 children. This is the maximum number of guests accepted unless other arrangements have been made. A surcharge will apply for any additional people. A roll-away bed+ breakfast is $150 extra +GST.

• Child Policy. Children under 2-years old are regarded as infants. Those from 2-yrs to 13-yrs are children and those aged 14-years and over are treated as adults and are welcome in the Garden Annex or the Owners Retreat Villa. We regret we are unable to accept younger children in the Garden suites or Garden Annex. The Family Cottage is specifically for those with younger children

• Cots and High Chairs are available for infants on request at $85.00 + GST per day.

• Baby Sitting. By prior arrangement, baby sitting services can be arranged in the evening for those guests staying in a cottage who have young children. The rate is $16.00 per hour payable direct to the baby sitter. Pre-booking is essential.

• Pet Policy. We regret we are unable to accommodate pets.

• Breakfast. Our standard tariff includes breakfast provided in your accommodation in the Claremont Cottage or the Owners Retreat Villa unless by pre-arrangement they prefer to breakfast at the lodge. Those staying in the Garden Annex or lodge rooms have breakfast in our conservatory dining room.

• Room Servicing. Daily room servicing and cleaning is also included. No evening turn-down service is provided.

• Self Drive Land Rover Excursion. Rate is based on one vehicle per couple, per room or per family (for those in the Claremont family cotatge). Maximum is five people per vehicle. Driver must be over 30 years old. Conditions apply. Tour is operated 10am to 1.00pm during the high season only (1 October to 30 April) and is subject to suitable weather conditions. This tour is not suitable for infants and very young children or those with disabilities.

• City and airport transfers. Self-drive is recommended. Ample secure off-street parking is available. Transfers are available by chauffeur driven limousine or by helicopter (price upon application).

• Christmas Day/Boxing Day and New Years Eve/New Years Day surcharge. There is a net surcharge of NZ$100.00 + GST per adult and $60.00 + GST per child.

• Cancellation Policy. Due to our intimate size cancellations affect us greatly. Regardless of the cause for cancellation we will apply the following policy:
- More than 60 days out. No Charge
- 60-30 days an administration charge of $250
- Within 30 days of arrival one nights tariff
- Within 14 days of arrival 100% is charged
- Peak season & group bookings (15th December to 15th January inclusive) or Group Bookings for 6 people or more cancelled within 60 days will attract a 100% Cancellation Charge.

• Travel Insurance We recommend that guests purchase insurance that covers cancellation and we reserve the right to debit your credit card in accordance with the above cancellation policy regardless. If you do not have travel insurance we suggest that you consider Comprehensive Travel Insurance Ltd who have developed a policy specifically for overseas residents traveling to New Zealand. Visit their website and select the inbound travel plan for a quote.

• All prices are shown in New Zealand dollars excluding GST which is Goods and Services Tax that is levied at 12.5%. Note that from 1 October the GST rate will become 15%.
