Booking conditions,
general information and policies
All prices are in NEW ZEALAND DOLLARS & EXCLUDE Government
sales tax (GST) which is currently levied at 12.5%
Please note that
- Bookings
are accepted only when guaranteed by a Credit Card (Visa,
Master Card or Amex) and subject to a refundable NZ$250
deposit and acceptance of our cancellation policy. Group
bookings (6 or more people) are subject to a 25% a refundable
deposit on booking and a further 25%, 60 days out.
- Check-in is between 3.00pm and 6.00pm
and room check-out by 11am. By prior
arrangement we will accommodate early check-in when this
is possible. On day of departure guests are welcome to
use the lodge facilities provided rooms are vacated for
servicing. Guests are welcome to leave packed bags in
the Lodge during the morning Land Rover safari adventure.
- Dinner
at the lodge is usually served between 7.30
to 8.00pm during the summer (November to March) and 7.00pm
the remainder of the year. Those staying three nights
or more may elect to have a dining voucher for a 3-course
Claremont Table D’Hote menu with wine at the nearby
award winning Nor’wester restaurant in Amberley
(10-12 minutes drive). By prior arrangement, families
accommodated in our family cottage may dine separately
at the lodge. We can also arrange a baby sitter / child
minder (with an hourly rate payable direct) so adults
may join other guests for drinks and dinner at the lodge.
- The
Land Rover safari adventure tour is complimentary
for those guests staying two nights or more. It is available
during the high season (1st October to 30th April) only.
It is operated mornings only, departing around 10.00am
and is subject to suitable weather conditions.
In the event of being unable to operate, there is no reduction
in the tariff. In the low season or inclement weather,
a modified tour may be offered. The Land Rover tour
does not operate on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or 1st January.
- Christmas and New Year – a minimum
of a two-night stay is required peak season from 24th
December to 2nd January. A seasonal surcharge of $100.00
+ GST applies at Christmas (25th & 26th December)
and New Year (31st December & 1st January) to cover
the cost of additional seasonal fare provided at these
times. Note that due to the limited number of rooms available
for peak season Christmas & New Year bookings we require
50% non-refundable deposit.
- The B & B rate is not available
during the peak season 24th December to 2nd January.
- Children of 14 years or older are welcome
in the Lodge. For those with younger children we suggest
Ram Paddock Cottage, our self-contained family accommodation.
The tariff is self-catering with breakfast provided. There
are dining options in Amberley (10-12minutes drive) at
the Nor’wester or other local restaurants. Ram Paddock
Cottage is also available to 3-4 adults.
- Pets - we regret we are unable to accommodate
pets.
- Payment. A NZ$100.00 reservation deposit
is required on booking. The balance is required in full
at completion of stay. We accept Cash, VISA, MASTERCARD
and AMERICAN EXPRESS. We do not accept personal cheques
or travellers cheques.
- Car parking - ample secure, off-street
car parking is available.
- City & airport transfers are available
by helicopter, shuttle bus or by chauffeur driven limousine
and can be arranged on request on guests' behalf.
- Disabled access - we have fully NZ
code-compliant disabled facilities with our ground floor
Fountain suite.
- Special group rates are available for
corporate meetings, business retreats, mini-conferences
and other group bookings (for up to 15 people).
- Weddings and functions - we cater for
intimate and small weddings and functions (for up to 40
people) and can tailor-make the occasion to suit individual
requirements.
- Local activities can be arranged and
booked on guests' behalf.
Cancellation
Due to our intimate size cancellations affect us greatly.
Regardless of the cause for cancellation
we will apply the following policy:
- Reservations cancelled more than 30 days in advance
of arrival date. An administration fee of $250.00 is charged.
- Reservations cancelled within 30 days of arrival date.
The tariff for one night is charged.
- Reservations cancelled with 14 days of arrival date:
100% is charged.
- For peak season bookings (24th December to 2nd January)
bookings cancelled within 60 days: 100% is charged.
- For group bookings cancelled within 60 days: 100% is
charged
It is your responsibility to take out travel insurance
which covers cancellation. In the event of a cancellation,
we reserve the right to debit your credit card in accordance
with these terms. If you do not have travel insurance we
suggest you consider Comprehensive Travel Insurance Limited.
