Perhaps the best way to see Christchurch is with your own

If you are arriving on a morning flight we would arrange
for our guide to meet you at the airport. This could also
be done in reverse, dropping you at the airport before your
flight out of Christchurch. As well, the tour may also be
arranged as a half day excursion from Claremont Country
Estate luxury lodge accommodation.
Our guide will conduct you on an informative tour designed
to suit your personal tastes and interests prior to your
afternoon check-in at Claremont. The itinerary would depend
on the season, availability and your particular interests
but a typical tour might take in Cathedral Square, the Botanic
Gardens, Hagley Park, the Arts Centre, the Avon River, coffee
or lunch at Riccarton House.
Alternatively you might take the gondola to the Port Hills
for a stunning view of Christchurch and the Southern Alps
with afternoon tea at the Sign of the Takahe or at the beach
in Sumner. Or you could visit the De Spa Chocolatier, the
Twisted Hop microbrewery or the Antarctic Centre.
On the way to Claremont, depending on the day and the season,
you could visit Peacock Springs salmon farm, or the Honey
Farm, Karikaas Cheese, or Havill’s Mazer Mead and
stop for a tasting platter of North Canterbury specialities
at award-winning Nor’wester restaurant or afternoon
tea at Pukeko Junction café.
